By concentrating discussions with its team on previously
identified root causes before they contribute to an incident,
CRC-Evans is convinced that incidents can be avoided. The
‘Safety 5-a-Day’ is ideal to use prior to any new activity starting
or when a change to the original plan or a change in personnel
involved in the activity occurs. Supervisors are required to
discuss all aspects of the activity and ask their workforce the
questions listed. When the answer to any question is ‘no’, the
task must not commence until additional planning, equipment,
personnel or controls are in place and all answers are either ‘yes’
or ‘N/A’.
Once any report is completed, a pdf report will be
generated by tapping the send button, any pictures will be
included in the report along with a reference to the relevant
inspection checkpoint
If the user does not have internet access, the report is
automatically stored in the device’s memory, or in the mail
outbox and can be sent once the user is back online.
Database
The CRC-HSEQ App is also connected to a database for even
better HSEQ improvement. Like the app, the database is
following the KIS-principle. When a user has filled out a report,
he clicks ‘send’ as usual and the report is sent to the database. In
the database the user can work on each report (add correcting/
preventing actions, point out who is responsible for actions, set
due date etc.), search and filter and get statistics in a blink of an
eye. An auto mail function is included, meaning that the system
will send mail automatically to the HSEQ department.
