ince 1984, Tesmec has been leader in the
engineering, manufacturing and marketing of
hard rock trenchers. The group’s product range
includes chainsaw trenchers, rocksaw trenchers,
bucket wheel trenchers and surface miners.
Contractors all over the world have come to rely
on Tesmec Trenchers for their toughest projects. From
reliable energy projects to dry utilities, and from heavy
civil to oil and gas and waterlines, Tesmec Trenchers
have the upper hand and get the job done.
Tesmec Trenchers are involved in several pipeline
projects all over the world. In the US, pipeline
contractors employ ultra low speed chain trenchers
(M3HD/M5HD) in the Marcellus/Utica Shale and the
Permian Basin, while bucket wheels and/or hydrostatic
chainsaws are found in the Bakken Shale, Powder River
Basin, and Eagle Ford Shale.
Tesmec Trenchers are very well positioned in
Mexico as well, where contractors utilise them on oil
and gas projects in both the northern andsouthern part
of the country.
Alberta’s oilsands (Athabasca Basin) and pipelines are
the Canadian breeding ground for Tesmec’s large bucket
wheels (1175 BW, 1375 BW, 1575 BW). Due to the large
size of these pipelines and the softer nature of the soil,
Tesmec bucket wheels will get the job done.
Tesmec has just delivered a 1675 chainsaw trencher
to a State owned company for a 48 in. gas pipeline in
Algeria; this 130 t class trencher will be used to open a
1.80 cm width ditch in a hard rocky area in the Sahara
desert.
In the Middle East, Tesmec trenchers are chosen
for oil and gas as well as water pipelines projects for
major clients in Saudi Arabia and in Qatar, due to cost
efficiency, safety and productivity provided by the
Tesmec machines.
