considering emergency response planning
for the high risk industries. The challenge
is assessing what is a credible scenario
because, by definition, these events are
thankfully rare. However, newsworthy incidents
reported by the Joint Oil Industry Fire Forum
(JOIFF), present a global snapshot of events that
are perhaps not as rare as one would like to
think.
