previews this year’s
Asia-Pacific’s
International Mining Exhibition (AIMEX)
and some
of the coal METS companies that will be exhibiting there.
A
s the industry grapples with
low commodity prices,
restricted budgets and fewer
personnel, there is no denying
that these are challenging times for mining
companies and the equipment
manufacturers that supply them – in
Australia and around the world. But
despite these headwinds, theAustralian
mining industry is projected to deliver
AUS$233.7 billion in revenue this year,
which translates to a profit of
AUS$90.7 billion, generated by 5826
enterprises.
To facilitate this growth and future
opportunities throughout theAsia-Pacific
region, the 2015 edition of Asia-Pacific’s
International Mining Exhibition (AIMEX)
will “provide attending mining
professionals with the knowledge, tools
and expertise to maximise their
performance,” according to a press release
from show organisers,
REEDMININGEXHIBITS. This year’s
edition of the biennial showwill take place
in Sydney from 1 – 4 September.
And it is likely to be a good one with
over 300 suppliers confirmed as exhibitors
and dedicated international supplier
pavilions from the US, Canada, China,
France and Germany. Exhibitors include
global firms, such as ASGCO, Cummins,
Flexco, HexagonMining, Hitachi, Kal Tire
and TOMRASorting.
Attendees at AIMEX 2015 will also have
the opportunity to attend various speaker,
knowledge‑sharing and innovation update
sessions, as well as networking functions,
including theAIMEX Industry Dinner,
which will feature speakers DavidMoult,
Managing Director and CEO of Centennial
Coal, Stefanie Loade, Managing Director of
Northparkes mine and Chair of NSW
Mining, and Brendan Pearson, CEO of the
Minerals Council of Australia
“The beauty of AIMEX lies in the
symbiotic relationship between exhibiting
suppliers and attending mining
professionals, who have the rare
opportunity of conducting face‑to‑face
business,” said Paul Baker, Director of
REEDMININGEVENTS. “This will enable
mining companies striving for better
efficiency and cost-effectiveness across
their operations to achieve better overall
performance. AIMEX will deliver mining
professionals with the innovations that
generate greater productivity and boost
bottom‑lines.”
