EMAS awards contract for positioning services
iSURVEY Pte Ltd, Singapore, has been awarded a contract from
EMAS AMC for the provision of positioning and survey services
on board its pipelay vessel, the
Lewek Centurion
.
The work is in support of Chevron’s 2015 pipeline installation
campaign in the Gulf of Thailand. The project commenced in 1Q15
and has an estimated duration of 120 days. iSURVEY will provide
lay barge positioning and four personnel during the installation of

represents a key milestone in the development of iSURVEY’s
business in South East Asia.
“We have experienced a very strong first half of 2015 so far,
and our reputation as a leading provider of high quality and high
specification positioning services continues to go from strength
to strength.”
iSURVEY, a leading provider of survey and positioning services
to the global oil and gas, offshore renewables and
telecommunications sectors, established operations in South East
Asia in 2011 with the launch of a base in Singapore.
Ashtead boosts rental fleet
Ashtead Technology has secured a deal with Neptune
Oceanographics Limited, adding innovative underwater leak
detection products to its rental fleet.
Ashtead Technology, an independent provider of subsea
equipment rental, sales and services, will now offer Neptune’s leak
detection systems and sensors including long range fluorescence and
passive acoustics for rent to customers. Neptune Oceanographics is a
global leader in subsea pipeline leak detection services.
Tim Sheehan, Commercial Director of Ashtead Technology, said:
“With billions invested in installing subsea infrastructure around the
world, inspection, repair and maintenance of pipelines becomes
increasingly important. As part of the need to ensure pipeline
integrity, periodic inspections deploying leak detection systems
alongside other tools are required to identify and prevent problems.
Neptune’s best-in-class leak detection systems are therefore a
welcome addition to our rental fleet.”
The deal with Neptune comes as Ashtead Technology ramps up
its efforts to add technology and services which help customers
reduce cost and increase efficiency.
From its offices in the UK, Houston and Singapore, with agents in
Abu Dhabi, Perth (Australia) and Stavanger, Ashtead Technology will
promote and supply Neptune’s leak detection equipment to a global
market, providing customers with access to a range of fluorescent,
acoustic, methane and hydrocarbon detection tools.
Enterprise acquires Eagle Ford Midstream assets
Enterprise Products Partners L.P. has executed definitive agreements
to purchase all of the member interests in EFS Midstream LLC from
affiliates of Pioneer Natural Resources Company and Reliance
Industries Limited for US$2.15 billion.
The purchase price will be paid in two instalments with the first
instalment of US$1.15 billion paid at closing and the final instalment
of US$1 billion paid no later than the first anniversary of the closing
date.
EFS Midstream provides gas gathering, treating, compression and
condensate processing services in the Eagle Ford Shale. The EFS
Midstream system includes approximately 460 miles of natural gas
gathering pipelines, 10 central gathering plants, 780 million ft
3
/d of
natural gas treating capacity and 119 000 bpd of condensate
stabilisation capacity.
Under the terms of the agreements, the Pioneer and Reliance
joint development will dedicate its Eagle Ford Shale acreage to
Enterprise under a 20 year, fixed-fee gathering agreement that
includes a minimum volume requirement for the first seven years.
Pioneer and Reliance will also dedicate their Eagle Ford Shale acreage
under related 20 year fee-based agreements with Enterprise for
natural gas processing, natural gas liquids transportation and
fractionation, and for natural gas, processed condensate and crude
oil transportation services.
Michael A. Creel, Chief Executive Officer of Enterprise’s general
partner said, “This ‘bolt on’ acquisition extends our integrated system
deeper into the NGL and condensate rich areas of the Eagle Ford,
which will provide us with the ability to offer services to additional
producers and increase volumes on our system.” The transaction is
expected to close in the 3Q15.

FMC and Technip to launch Forsys Subsea
FMC Technologies Inc. and Technip have signed an agreement
to form an exclusive alliance and to launch Forsys Subsea, a
50/50 joint venture that will unite the skills and capabilities of
two subsea industry leaders.
Forsys Subsea will have the technical capabilities, products
and systems to significantly reduce the cost of subsea field
development and provide the technology to maximise well
performance over the life of the field.
Forsys Subsea will reduce the interfaces of the subsea
umbilical, riser and flowline systems (SURF) and subsea
production and processing systems (SPS). It will also simplify the
seabed layout, reducing complexity, accelerating time to first
oil, and maximising sustainable peak production. This unique
combination will drive a new, approach to how equipment
designs and installation methods converge in a new generation
of subsea architecture. Gathering the expertise and experience
of its parent companies, Forsys Subsea will focus on:
)
)
Early involvement in the concept selection phase of
FEED, when ability to influence cost is greatest.
)
)
Integrated life-of-field well surveillance, monitoring, data
interpretation and advisory services.
)
)
Joint R&D to drive technological innovations that will boost
efficiency and further reduce development costs.
)
)
In addition, the alliance will be uniquely positioned
to deliver and install a seamless subsea infrastructure
from seabed to topside by eliminating interfaces and by
integrating SPS with SURF, attaining the highest reliability
and uptime and the lowest total ownership cost available in
the industry.
