ACQUISITION ANNOUNCED
Z
enith Energy has acquired the
Bantry Bay Oil Terminal in West
Cork, Ireland from Phillips 66. The terms
of the transaction have not been
disclosed.
The terminal, located on Whiddy
Island in Bantry Bay, has a storage
capacity of over 8 million bbls and is
one of the largest and deepest drafts in
Europe, holding a portion of Ireland's
strategic petroleum reserves. Zenith
intends to continue operating the
terminal on a commercial basis.
This acquisition will further
strengthen Zenith's footprint and
accelerate the company's growth,
following Zenith and Grupo Coremar's
June 2014 announcements of the award
of a contract for the construction on
the first phase of a new, multi product
liquids terminal in Palermo, Colombia.
As previously announced at the
time of its formantion, Zenith is
pursuing opportunites to buy, build and
operate petroleum liquids and
petrochemical terminals and related
logistics including distribution assets
that support terminals, such as pipeline,
truck racks and barges, primarily in
Latin America, Europe and Africa.

FLOATING ROOF INSTALLATION

RGIL has been selected by Gulf
Petrochem to provide 16 pontoon
type internal floating roofs for its
Pipavav Terminal project in Pipavav,
Gujarat region, India.
Pontoon type floating roofs are
the most economical type of
floating roofs in the market.
Pontoon type IFR, consists of a
series of capped hollow tubular
pontoons connected to a grid of
beams and top sheet of aluminium
tread plate. The design permits a
vapour space between the floats
and the underside of the plate.
In the past, ERGIL has
successfully supported Gulf
Petrochem in their projects in
Tanzania and the UAE. With this
project the company are very much
looking forward to developing
business and opportunities in India.

MAJOR EXPORT TERMINAL PROJECT

H2M Hill Engineers, Inc. has
announced that it has been
awarded a contract for the Alaska
LNG project to provide certain
pre front end engineering design
(FEED) supports service for the LNG
marine facilities in the Nikiski area on
the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska.
The project, being progressed by
state supported Alaska Gasoline
Development Corp., and affiliates BP,
ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil and
TransCanada, would include the Nikiski
area export facilities, an 800 mile gas
pipeline from the North Slope, a gas
treatment plant and transmission lines
connecting the project to gas
producing fields. The Alaska LNG
project would be one of the most
significant infrastructure and energy
projects in Alaska, the US and all of
North America.
UK
Belzona has opened a third UK regional
office in Avonmouth, Bristol. The new
facility will offer clients direct access
to Belzona quality materials combined
with specialist application services
from a single source. Comprising of a
contemporary application workshop
and newly fitted offices, Belzona will
be able to offer a faster, more effective
and accessable package to clients in the
South West of England.
IRAQ
FlotechPS have recently supplied
10 EMCO Wheaton loading arms to a
terminal operator near Basra. The arms
are for the top loading of distillate
products. The terminal was looking to
improve the safety and efficiency of the
road tank loading process. FlotechPS
supplied 10 EMCO Wheaton loading arms
with overfill detection.
MEXICO
Under an agreement signed with Pemex,
nine Voith Water Tractors will be built
for use at oil and gas marine terminals on
both coasts of the country. Construction
on four of the nine tugboats began after
a keel laying ceremony in Astimar 20,
located in the port of Salina Cruz.
USA
NGL Energy Partners LP has completed
the previously announced acquisition
of Magnum NGLs, LLC from Magnum
Development, LLC. Magnum owns and
operates a natural gas liquids storage
facility with multiple existing salt caverns
and a potential capacity of greater than
10 million bbls.
